Alicia and Alex had a fun-filled, perfect wedding day. Each detail was curated by this bride’s eye for detail. She planned a stunning celebration and it was my privilege to coordinate their day.
The morning began with hair, and her gorgeous cathedral veil. Then the fun began as both wedding parties prepared. I think this might have been the most fun wedding party I’ve worked with!
Alicia’s dress was one of the highlights of this day for me. I love lace overlay and sleeves, and this dress fit her perfectly. It moved with her as though she were gliding across the floor.
Planner’s Tip: Budget for a good seamstress. No matter how gorgeous your dress is, it won’t look good if it doesn’t fit just right.
Alex and Alicia wed at Trailview Alliance Church in Swift Current. The church perfectly suited their classic style. Alicia grew up attending, so it also offered some sentimental value. Pulling up in with her dad in his classic car is something I’m sure Alicia will cherish forever.
The Palliser Pavilion was the perfect size to host this large wedding. A curtained backdrop and chandelier created a beautiful dance floor, and the black, gold and burgundy colour palette gave the evening an exquisite elegance.
While their wedding was beautiful and sophisticated, one of the most important things to Alicia and Alex was that their day was also fun. They accomplished this for sure! No matter what your wedding looks like, you can (and should) always have fun and enjoy your big day!
Black & White
Alicia was in love with black and white photography and I am too. Nikki did a fantastic job of capturing this day in all it’s fullness. Her photos don’t even need colour to come alive!
For another recap of their day, here’s the amazing video from Life In Action Weddings (aka The Landing Studio!).
